Eze, Rodrygo, or Leao? Arsenal Only Have One Sensible Transfer Option After Romano Update

Martin Zubimendi has joined the squad, Viktor Gyokeres is now Mikel Arteta’s primary striker, and Noni Madueke has been acquired to support Bukayo Saka. While Arsenal’s transfer window appears successful, a critical issue remains unresolved: the **left-wing position**.

Arteta currently relies on **Leandro Trossard** and **Gabriel Martinelli**, but neither has been consistently effective. Three candidates have emerged as potential solutions:

1. **Rafael Leao** (AC Milan)

2. **Eberechi Eze** (Crystal Palace)

3. **Rodrygo** (Real Madrid)

#### **Rafael Leao – AC Milan**

Leao’s agility, speed, and physicality (6’2") make him a formidable winger. However, his goal output is modest (8 Serie A goals in 2024/25), and Fabrizio Romano confirms he’s **not a viable option** for Arsenal this summer.

#### **Eberechi Eze – Crystal Palace**

Eze’s Premier League experience is a plus, but he prefers a **central role**, where Arsenal already has depth (Ødegaard, Nwaneri, Dowman). Romano also suggests **Tottenham** are leading the race for his signature.

#### **Rodrygo – Real Madrid**

The standout choice. Despite being overshadowed by Vinicius Jr. and Mbappé at Madrid, Rodrygo’s acceleration and dribbling would terrorize Premier League defenses. With **Manchester City also interested**, Arsenal must act fast.

### **Verdict**

Rodrygo is the **logical priority** for Arsenal. His proven quality and fit for the left-wing role make him the ideal signing as Arteta aims to challenge Liverpool for the title.
