Posh Spice doesn’t wannabe seen as unhappy.
In the new Netflix documentary “Victoria Beckham,” out Oct. 9, the fashionista, 51, opens up about her notoriously stone-faced expressions.
The former Spice Girl said on-screen that she was aware that people thought she was a “miserable cow” who “never smiled.”
She noted that they “weren’t wrong.”
In “Victoria Beckham,” she explained, “Here’s a fact. I’ve looked miserable for all these years because when we stand on the red carpet, this guy has always gone on the left,” she said, referring to her husband David, 50.
She added, “Now I didn’t realize that when I smile – which I do – I smile from the left. Because if I smile from the right, I look unwell.”
“So consequently, I’m smiling on the inside but no one ever sees it. That’s why I look so moody,” she said.
The three-part docuseries is about Victoria’s life, from her time in the Spice Girls and her relationship with David to her transition into the fashion industry and her preparations for a high-stakes fashion show in Paris.
It’s a follow up to the hit Netflix 2023 documentary “Beckham,” which focused on David, his life, career and their marriage.
Unlike her husband’s documentary, “Victoria Beckham” doesn’t address topics like the allegations that he once had an affair.
Victoria and David, who have been married since 1999, have four kids: Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14.
Amid rumors of an ongoing feud between Brooklyn, his wife, Nicola Peltz, 30, and the rest of his famous family members, Brooklyn is the only Beckham child absent from the doc.
However, the series never addresses the topic of the rumored feud.
Later in “Victoria Beckham,” she also said that part of the reason why she’s rarely seen smiling in public is because of insecurity.
Opening up about her past before the Spice Girls, she said, “I was bullied, awkward, wasn’t particularly sociable, I just didn’t fit in…I desperately wanted to be liked.”
David explained, “When I first met Victoria, she was smiley, she was bubbly, she was confident…but that started to disappear.”
Victoria said that after the Spice Girls broke up in 2001, she felt lost and needed to feel “a sense of purpose.”
Referring to being seen as a “miserable cow,” she added, “I’d rather not be that person.”
She added, “I’d love to have the confidence to stand on a red carpet and smile, but I just can’t do it.”
