I was team-mates with David Beckham – I've seen what his wife Victoria is actually like'

 

Victoria Beckham has responded to Rebecca Loos cheating allegations in a recent interview, revealing she and husband David Beckham have had "so much thrown" at them during their 26 years long marriage.

While appearing on the latest episode of podcast Call Her Daddy, Victoria was asked by host Alex Cooper how she and David handle speculation about their marriage.

Alex asked Victoria: "Speculation then at some point in your entire career come out about your marriage, and I know David's doc [Beckham] touched on this, but can you just explain to me for you and David, how did you handle all that, when that came?"

Victoria then replied and commented on the amount of speculation the couple have been through.

"We've had so much thrown at us," she said. "And we were talking about it because we've recently celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary, and by the way, people said it wouldn't work 26 years.

"We've had so much thrown at us and we've always just been there together and just ridden the storm, ridden the damn storm."

Back in 2004, Rebecca Loos who had worked as David's personal assistant claimed she had an affair with the footballer. David has always denied the affair allegations, calling them "ludicrous" and said he was "happily married."

In a statement issued at the time in 2004, David said: "During the past few months I have become accustomed to reading more and more ludicrous stories about my private life.

"The simple truth is that I am very happily married. I have a wonderful wife and two very special kids. There is nothing any third party can do to change these facts."

The allegations were then brought up in David's Netflix documentary series Beckham last year, and David opened up about how the couple got through it, saying: "I don't know how we got through it, in all honestly. Victoria is everything to me, to see her hurt was incredibly difficult, but we're fighters and at that time we needed to fight for each other, we needed to fight for our family.

"And what we had was worth fighting for. There were some days that I would wake up and think, 'How am I going to go to work? How am I going to walk on to that training pitch? How am I going to look as if nothing's wrong?' I felt physically sick every day when I opened my eyes, 'How am I going to do this?'"

Victoria appeared on Call Her Daddy to discuss her new Netflix documentary Victoria Beckham which charts her rise to fame, her marriage to David and the journey to getting her fashion and beauty brands where they are today.
