The real reason Brooklyn isn't in the Victoria Beckham documentary

The Victoria Beckham documentary has finally landed on Netflix, offering a look into the life of the former pop star turned fashion mogul, including her marriage to David Beckham and their four children: Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14.

However, viewers may notice that her eldest son, Brooklyn, is absent from the three-part docuseries. While his siblings appear, he is only briefly mentioned in the first episode when Victoria reflects on her pregnancy with him.

So, why isn't Brooklyn in the documentary?

Why isn't Brooklyn in the Victoria Beckham documentary?

Ahead of the documentary's release, it was reported that Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, wouldn't appear in the episodes.

A source told The Sun: "The children hardly feature... It’s simply not a case of Brooklyn and Nicola being cut, as they weren’t in it to start with. This is very much a project focussing on Victoria’s transition from pop star to businesswoman and designer."

Most of the series was filmed in the lead-up to Victoria's Paris Fashion Week show in March 2025, which Brooklyn didn't attend due to his own "business commitments" promoting his hot sauce brand.

Reports of a Family Feud

His absence follows numerous reports that the family is feuding, with issues between Victoria and Nicola reportedly going back to Brooklyn and Nicola's 2022 wedding.

· It was initially thought Nicola would wear a gown from Victoria’s fashion line, but she ultimately opted for a Valentino dress.

· Nicola explained in an interview with Variety: "I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realised that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress."

· There were also claims of a seating snub, as only the Peltz family sat at the top table, while David and Victoria were placed at a separate table.

· The Peltz family joined the couple on their honeymoon, while the Beckhams were not present.

Nicola shut down feud rumours in August 2022, telling Variety: "They’re always going to try and put people down. But everyone gets along, which is good."

Recent Tensions

The feud is said to have been reignited in December 2024 when Romeo started dating DJ Kim Turnball. TMZ claimed Kim was the ex-girlfriend of Brooklyn, though Cruz denied they had a romantic relationship. According to TMZ, Brooklyn and Nicola were concerned about Kim's "motives" and kept their distance.

That same month, Brooklyn and Nicola missed David's 50th birthday party.

Romeo and Kim split in June 2025, but feud rumours persist. Brooklyn and Nicola have not been seen pictured with his parents or siblings since Christmas.

Just this month, Victoria posted a family picture from her runway show that included David, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, but not Brooklyn, prompting fan questions about his absence.

The Victoria Beckham documentary is available to stream on Netflix.
